This paragraph describes the procedures to follow, the controls to use in the event of a
problem (breakdown of the lifting platform or someone trapped in the basket) while the
lifting platform is working.
When taking over the machine and regularly afterwards, the details of this procedure
must be read and fully understood by the operator and everyone whose duties are
centred on activities in contact with the machine.
IN THE EVENT OF THE OPERATOR FALLING ILL
- If the user is taken ill or accidently triggers the basket emergency stop or finds
themselves unable to manoeuvre, the person present on the ground can take control
of the lifting platform using the ground backup and maintenance station.
- Follow the instructions below:
- Switch the key-operated contactor 1 (Fig. A) on the ground backup and maintenance
console to position C, to take over control of the access platform’s movements.
- Lower the access platform.
Pay attention to any structure or obstacle located below the access
platform.
IN THE EVENT OF ACCIDENT OR BREAKDOWN
- Evacuate anyone in the basket.
- If an accident or a breakdown occurs, which renders the electrical boxes unusable, the
machine is provided with systems for performing all the movements manually.
- Open the right cowling of the turret.
- To execute one of the platform’s movements, you must index the knob by pulling or
pushing it (Fig. B) OR push or pull on the pusher (Fig. C) for one of the distributor’s
elements (Diagram E Page 2 - 26) and pump simultaneously (Fig. D).
