D5 - FUEL FEED PUMP
CLEAN
- Open the I.C. engine bonnet.
- Disassemble the left side panel 1 (Fig. D5/1) (3 fastening screws).
- Loosen connection 2 (Fig. D5/2), lift hose 3 (Fig. D5/2) and protect the aperture.
- Remove connection 4 (Fig. D5/3) and lift strainer 5 (Fig. D5/3).
- Carefully clean the strainer and connection using a brush soaked in clean diesel fuel
and dry them with a low pressure jet of compressed air.
- Reassemble connection 4 (Fig. D5/3) ensuring that the watertight seal is in the correct
position (Tightening torque 20 N.m).
- Reconnect hose 3 (Fig. D5/2) and check that the feed pump is watertight.
- Reprime the circuit by activating the feed pump.
- If necessary, bleed the fuel circuit (See chapter : G1 - FUEL SYSTEM in paragraph : 3
- MAINTENANCE).
- Reassemble the left side panel 1 (Fig. D5/1).
D6 - TRANSMISSION OIL FILTER
CHANGE
- Disassemble the access panel 1 (Fig. D6/1).
- Unscrew and discard the transmission oil filter 2 (Fig. D6/2).
- Carefully clean the filter head with a clean, lint-free cloth.
- Slightly lubricate the new seal and fit the seal on the filter (See chapter : FILTERS
CARTRIDGES AND BELTS in paragraph : 3 - MAINTENANCE).
- Refit the filter, making sure that the seal is correctly positioned and tightened.
Tighten the transmission oil filter by hand pressure only and lock the filter in place
by a quarter turn.
- Reassemble the access panel 1 (Fig. D6/1).
