Suction Pressure Low Checklist
Improper Installation
• Refer to “Installation” section
Discharge Pressure
• A high discharge pressure will affect the suction
pressure. Refer to “Discharge Pressure High Checklist”
Improper Refrigerant Charge
• Undercharged
• Wrong type of refrigerant
Other
• Improper water supply over evaporator. Refer to
“Water System Checklist”
• Loss of heat transfer from tubing on back side of
evaporator
• Restricted/plugged liquid line drier
• Restricted/plugged tubing or capillary tube in suction
side of refrigeration system
• TXV starving
• Moisture in refrigeration system
NOTE: Do not limit your diagnosis to only the items listed
in the checklists.
