PHONO,
the
type
of
cartridge
used
on
the
turntable
can
be
selected
between
MM
(Moving
Magnet)
and
MC
(Moving
Coil)
using
this
switch.
Set
this
switch
according
to
the
cartridge
used
on
the
turntable.
MC
is
selected
when
the
switch
is
set
to
the
low
position.

Use
this
switch
to
select
the
program
source
to
be
recorded
or
played,
from
PHONO,
CD,
LINE

VOLUME
CONTROL
Use
this
control
to
adjust
the
sound
volume.
Turning
the
control
clockwise
increases
the
volume.
The
volume
can
also
be
controlled
UP/DOWN
from
the
remote
control
unit.

REC
SELECTOR
SWITCH
Use
this
switch
to
select
the
signal
for
use
as
the
source
of
the
copy
function
or
the
REC
OUT
signal.

SPEAKERS
SWITCH
Use
this
switch
to
turn
the
speaker
systems
ON
(pressed
in
position)
or
OFF
(out
position).
The
SYSTEM
A
and
SYSTEM
B
terminals
are
always
switched
simultaneously.
Set
the
switch
to
OFF
(out
position)
when
listening
through
headphones
alone.

PHONES
JACK
This
jack
accepts
a
standard
stereo
headphone
plug
for
private
listening.

IR
SENSOR
The
infrared
remote
control
signals
enter
the
unit
through
this
window.
To
send
the
signals
correctly,
point
the
transmitter
of
the
remote
control
unit
toward
this
window.

SWITCH
Press
the
switch
to
turn
power
on
and
press
again
to
turn
it
off.
The
power
indicator

is
lit
when
the
POWER
switch
is
in
the
on
position
and
extinguished
when
it
is
in
the
off
position.

TONE
CONTROLS
(TREBLE,
BASS)
Use
these
controls
to
adjust
the
tone
by
independently
controlling
the
high
and
low
frequency
ranges.
Turning
each
control
clockwise
toward
(+)
boosts
the
corresponding
frequency
range
and
counterclockwise
toward
(—)
attenuates
it.
TREBLE:
Adjusts
the
tone
of
the
high
frequency
range.
BASS:
Adjusts
the
tone
of
the
Jow
frequency
range.

MUTING
INDICATOR
Lights
when
the
MUTE
button
of
the
remote
control
unit
is
pressed.
The
lighting
indicates
muting
by
—o
dB.
The
muting
function
is
convenient
for
turning
off
the
speaker
sound
temporarily.
SOURCE
DIRECT
SWITCH
When
this
switch
is
pressed
to
ON,
the
source
signal
is
transmitted
by
bypassing
the
balance
and
tone
(TREBLE,
BASS)
control
circuitry
so
that
you
can
enjoy
high-grade
sound
with
maximum
purity.
(The
balance
adjustment
and
the
tone
adjustment
using
the
TREBLE
and
BASS
controls
are
not
possible
while
this
switch
is
ON.)

BALANCE
CONTROL
Use
this
control
to
correct
the
imbalance
in
sound
depending
on
some
source
programs
such
as
stereo
broadcasting
or
to
vary
the
output
level
of
the
left
or
right
channel.
Note
that,
if
the
BALANCE
control
is
set
to
the
fully
LEFT
or
RIGHT
position,
the
sound
wil!
not
be
output
from
the
speaker
of
the
other
channel.

Lights
when
the
power
is
on.
