The “e” socket module (maxium 80-042-04) features M1
(1) and M2 (4) sockets suitable for instruments having 5-
mm plugs (coaxial circular connectors with 5-mm inner
conductor). They can also be used for cables with US 3-pin
plugs.
Here again, it is possible to connect cables with plain 4-mm
plugs as well. In this case, however, the user must take
care to insert such plugs into the left (outer) socket. Insert-
ing them into one of the neighboring control contacts would
cause a malfunction!
The activation indicators (2) and (5) of the M1 and M2 sockets will come on as soon as the corre-
sponding HF output is activated. Depending on whether a cutting or coagulation current has been
selected, the activation indicator will light up either yellow or blue at the activated channel.
