13.2 Sterilization of Reusable Accessories
The following sterilizing temperatures are permitted:
Steam sterilization
at 134°C
Electrode handles yes
Active electrodes (monopolar and bipolar) yes
Reusable neutral electrodes yes
Note
• Parts/accessories marked as disposable may never be reprocessed or reused.
• Never use hot-air sterilization for electrodes, cables and other accessories because the high
temperatures associated with this type of sterilization could damage insulation, soldered con-
nections, etc.
• All other procedures need to be validated by the user/operator.
13.3 Non-Sterilizable Accessories
Non-sterilizable accessories such as the footswitch require regular cleaning and disinfecting.
