With the “e” socket module (maxium 80-042-04), the
sockets B1 (7) and B2 (10) are suitable for instruments hav-
ing 4-mm plugs (coaxial circular connectors with 4-mm inner
conductor). Besides, they can be used for US 2-pin flat con-
nectors as well.
In addition, the B2 socket allows connection of a flat con-
nector with two additional control contacts for finger switch
activation and instrument recognition.
Note:
Technically, monopolar instruments with 4-mm plugs can
also be connected to these sockets. While not operable in
this way (no function available), they should never
be con-
nected to these sockets for application-specific technical
reasons!
Upon activation of the corresponding HF output, the activation indicators (8) and (11) of the B1 and
B2 sockets light up either YELLOW or BLUE, depending on whether the cutting or coagulation
mode has been selected.
