TRANSMISSION
TRANSMISSION OIL CHANGE
Note: Maximum transmission fluid volume cannot exceed 25oz.
(750ml). Fill / check method is not fill to spill. Follow Fluid Change
Procedure to verify transmission is filled with fluid. Do not overfill.
The fill plug
○
1 is located on the side of the transmission gearcase.
Access the fill plug on the right-hand side of the gearcase. The drain
plug
○
2 is located on the bottom of the transmission gearcase.
Access the drain plug from the bottom of the vehicle.
To change the transmission fluid, do the following:
1. Remove the fill plug.
2. Place a drain pan under the transmission drain plug.
3. Remove drain plug
○
2 and allow lubricant to drain completely.
4. Clean the drain plug magnetic surface.
5. Reinstall the drain plug and torque to 14 ft-lbs (19 N⋅m).
6. Add the recommended amount of lubricant through the fill plug hole
○
1 . Do NOT overfill or fill to the bottom of the fill plug hole.
7. Reinstall the fill plug and torque to 14 ft-lbs (19 N⋅m).
8. Check for leaks. Dispose of used lubricant properly.
