UsingSSHSecureShell
SSHSECURESHELL
SSHisasecurecommandlinewaytocontrolaGMR,asastandardfeature.Itisintendedforuserswhocannot
accessWinDiscoveryfornetworksecurityreasons,orforuserswithLinux,UNIXorMacintoshPCs.Thecommands
availablearethesameasthoseforTelnet.Dataexchangedisencrypted
byboth3DESand128bitAESmethods,
whichisaveryhighlevelofsecurity.SSHhasnosettingsviaWinDiscovery—onlyviaTelnetandSSHitself.
TorunanSSHsession,aspecialclientisneededtorunontheuser'sPC.TheclientwillconnectwiththeSSH
server
runningintheMasterclockdevice.TeraTermissuchaclient(freefordownload:http://ttssh2.sourceforge.jp/).
Note:MasterclockdoesNOTmakesuchaclient.
Typically,whenusingsuchaclient,onestatestheIPaddressofthedeviceandstandardSSHsettings,asatleft.
Default user name: public
Default Passphrase: publicpass
Thefirsttimeyouconnecttoadevice,asecuritywarningwindowwillappearshowingthis
hosthasneverbeen
seenbeforeandaskifyouwanttoaddittothelistofknownhosts.
Togetcommandstodisplayasyouenterthem,youmayneedtoturnon“localecho”forthesession,andother
settingsmayneedtobemadetomake
thetexteasilyreadable.
IfyoudecidetorelyonSSHthenyouMUSTDISABLETELNETforthedevicetobetrulysecure.TheGMRallowsonly
oneSSHsessionatatime.

