PERIODICAL MAINTENANCE
Regular maintenance, attention to lubrication, and certain adjustments must be made to
ensure unfailing reliability and satisfactory service. This necessary attention Is detailed
below, and owners are strongly recommended to follow carefully these suggestions.

Chart, Illustration 6.
DAILY
Oil tank Inspect oil level (16.) and top-up if necessary. Check oil circulation.
Petrol tank Check level and re-fill If necessary.
WEEKLY
Oil tank Check level (16.) and re-fill if necessary.
Tyres Check pressures and Inflate if necessary.
EVERY 500 MILES
Oil tank Drain at first 500 miles and re-fill with new oil, and clean felt filter.

Gear box Drain at first 500 miles and re-fill (18.) 1 pint.
Chaincase Check level of oil when machine is standing vertically on level ground,
when level of oil should not be less than x" below bottom edge of
inspection orifice. (7.) Fill up to orifice if level is low.
Battery Inspect each cell for level of electrolyte and top-up wit h distilled water
if necessary. (See pages 79 and 80.) Level of electrolyte should just
be over top of plates. Beware overfilling.
