Solar Charging
Symptom
Possible Cause
Remedy
No solar power DC to DC solar light
not showing
Tripped circuit breaker
Reset circuit breaker CB6 in Fig. 1
DC to DC overloaded
Reset DC to DC by disconnecting
from battery and solar input. See
Projector user guide.
No solar power Dc to DC solar light
showing
Tripped circuit breaker
Reset circuit breaker CB4 in Fig. 1
Weak solar charging (low voltage
output)
Weak solar input due to shade
Move to sunnier area
Weak solar due to dirty panels
Clean panels
Incorrect setting
Ensure DC to DC is set to correct
battery type
Solar charging not meeting demands
Power demands exceeding
designed solar output
Add additional solar panels
Reduce load
NOTES*
Expectations of a 300 watt solar charging system need to be reasonable. Running two fridges without adding
additional solar and following best practice with pre-cooling and packing will greatly reduce battery life and the ability
of the solar panels to keep up with power needs.
Using inverters will very quickly diminish battery capacity.
