Usage Features:
- Towing: The caravan is designed for safe towing with a suitably rated tow vehicle. It features a Cruisemaster™ DO35 hitch and electric brakes with a breakaway system. Proper loading and ball weight distribution are crucial for stable towing.
- Setting Up: The electric roof can be raised or lowered via a rocker switch or remote control. Stabiliser legs are used to keep the trailer stable once level, with levelling blocks recommended for uneven ground. The electric awning extends for shade and can be lowered on one side during rain to prevent water pooling.
- Kitchen: A slide-out stainless steel kitchen with a gas hob cooktop and sink is provided. A support leg must be installed when the kitchen is extended. Gas connection is via a bayonet fitting.
- Electrical System: Features a 200Ah Lithium Iron Phosphate battery system with an internal Battery Management System (BMS) and an external Projecta battery monitor with Bluetooth connectivity. Charging can be done via mains power (15A exterior socket), roof-mounted solar panels, or the tow vehicle's Anderson plug. A main 12V circuit breaker (200A) and an RCD safety switch for 240V outlets are included.
- Gas & Water Systems: Equipped with a 14L Truma UltraRapid gas-operated hot water system. Gas cylinders have a 10-year lifespan and must be oriented correctly. Water is supplied by a 12V electric marine diaphragm pump from a 120L fresh water tank, with selector valves to choose the tank.
- Diesel Heater: A 2KW diesel air heater with variable control and a 10L fuel tank provides heating. It has a control knob for temperature and a ventilation mode.
- Rearview Camera: A wireless rearview camera is factory fitted, connected to the parking light circuit for continuous monitoring while driving.
Maintenance Features:
- General Maintenance: Regular checks of hitch bolts, handbrake, brakes, wheel nuts, tyres, lights, and general fixings are recommended.
- Finishes: Paint requires regular washing with mild detergents and annual waxing. Acrylic windows should be cleaned with a soft, nonabrasive cloth. Internal laminates and wall surfaces are cleaned with a damp soft cloth. Ensuite finishes should avoid harsh detergents. Mirrors should be cleaned with warm water and a soft cloth. Galvanised chassis components should be maintained with a zinc rich coating. High tensile bolts and fittings should be coated with a protectant like lanolin spray. Stainless steel should be cleaned with purpose-made cleaners or white vinegar. Fabrics may not be colourfast and require gentle hand washing or dry cleaning.
- Seals & Latches: All seals on doors and hatches should be checked for 30-50% compression, cleanliness, and damage every 6 months. Locks and latches require regular lubrication (WD40 or Inox) and adjustment.
- Roof Maintenance: Roof sealants should be inspected every 6 months for condition and repaired immediately if perished or adhesion has failed. Solar panels should be cleaned as necessary, and their sealants checked annually.
- Canopy Lifting Mechanism: Requires light lubrication with lanolin-based lubricant every 6 months, and the spring protected with lanolin-based lubricant every 12 months.
- Roof Skirt Elastic Cord: Regular inspection and replacement as necessary to prevent mechanical damage to the skirt.
- Brakes: Adjustment is required after the first 300 km and then every 5000 km or as needed. Inspection and servicing of magnets and shoes are also required at 5000 km intervals.
- Suspension: Grease bushes and check for play. Torque suspension hanger bolts (190Nm) and retaining chain shackles. Shock absorbers should be allowed to cool during prolonged use on rough roads.
- Water Heater: The Truma UltraRapid hot water system needs decalcification regularly (at least twice a year) using suitable commercial products. The P&T safety valve must be operated regularly (every 6 months) to remove lime deposits and ensure it is not blocked.
- Batteries: For long-term storage, ensure batteries are at least 50% charged and recharged every 3 months. All power should be turned off.
- Mould Prevention: Never pack the camper away wet. Check under mattresses for condensation. Store moisture-absorbing packs in the caravan.
- Stone Protection: Proprietary devices like Rock Tamer and Stone Stomper are available to protect the trailer from stone chips.
- Service Schedule: A detailed service schedule is provided, including checks at 500km, every 6 months/5,000km, 12 months/10,000km, 18 months/15,000km, 24 months/20,000km, 30 months/25,000km, 36 months/30,000km, 42 months/35,000km, 48 months/40,000km, 54 months/45,000km, 60 months/50,000km, 66 months/55,000km, and 72 months/60,000km. These include checks for chassis, suspension, brakes, electrical systems, caravan body, and plumbing.
