Pre-operation inspection
Make sure that the generator is standing on a level and stable surface.
Check that there are no flammable materials near by.
Checking the oil level
1. Make sure the engine switch is in OFF position.
2. Remove the oil filler cap/dipstick. Wipe off any oil.
3. Insert the dipstick again, but do not tighten the cap.
4. Remove the dipstick and check the oil level. It should be
between the MIN and MAX level marks.
5. Top up the oil if necessary.
6. Tighten the cap. Wipe up any spills.
Oil level alarm
The oil level alarm is triggered if the oil level is too low. The oil alarm indicator light is red and the engine
stops.
Checking the fuel level
1. Make sure the engine switch is in OFF
position and that the engine has cooled down.
2. Open the fuel tank cap and check the fuel
level.
3. Carefully fill with 95 octane unleaded petrol.
This must be done outdoors.
4. Inspect the seal inside the fuel tank cap for
damage.
5. Tighten the fuel filler cap.
6. Wipe up any spilled fuel.
