Air filter
1. Unscrew the screw holding the cover in
place. Remove the disassembly cover.
2. Press down the catch holding the air filter
cover in place.
3. Lift the air filter out and clean it.
4. Allow the filter to dry before coating it with
clean engine oil. Squeeze out excess oil.
5. Refit the filter.
6. Refit the air filter cover.
7. Screw the disassembly cover back into
position.
Spark plug
1. Remove the spark plug cover.
2. Remove the spark plug cap and unscrew the spark plug.
3. Use a steel brush to remove deposits from the electrode.
4. Check the electrode gap. It should be 0.7 to 0.8 mm.
5. Replace the spark plug if it is damaged or worn.
6. Refit the spark plug in the cylinder. Tighten with a spark plug wrench.
7. Refit the cap.
8. Refit the cover.
Transport and storage
Do not lay the generator on its side during transport, storage or use. There is a risk of fuel and oil leaking
out otherwise.
Allow the engine to cool for at least 15 minutes before transportation or storage. The generator must be
stored in a well-ventilated area during extended storage periods.
1. Drain the contents of the fuel tank into a suitable container. Screw the fuel tank cap back on.
2. Unscrew the screw holding the cover in place. Remove the disassembly cover. Unscrew the
carburettor drain screw and drain the fuel out of the carburettor.
3. Remove the spark plug cover.
4. Loosen the spark plug cap and set the engine switch to ON. Open the fuel valve.
5. Pull the starter grip three or four times to drain the fuel system. Pour the fuel into a suitable
container.
6. Screw the carburettor drain screw back on. Refit the cover. Set the engine switch to OFF. Set the
fuel valve to OFF.
