Problem Cause Action
Although the bean
container is full, the
appliance indicates
that coee beans must
be lled.

 Press a direct key.

tainer.
 Clean the bean container.
 Coee beans are too oily. Use

Loud grinder noise. Foreign objects in the

Brewing unit cannot
be inserted after
removing.
Handle for the locking
mechanism of the
brewing unit is not in
the correct position.
 Check that the handle for the
locking mechanism is correctly
engaged (see section7.2 on
page82).
Drive is not in the
correct position.
 Press and hold the "Coee
strength" button. Also press
the ON/OFF button. The
appliance initialises. Release
buttons again.
Rapid alternate ash-
ing of the displays:
Software problem.  Switch the appliance o and
on again (see section4.1 on
page64).

Rapid alternate ash-

Brewing unit is not
inserted.
 Brewing unit (inner)
The display lights up

 Vent the appliance, turn the
rotary regulator clockwise
until it stops for this. As soon
as water ows out of the Cap-
puccinatore, turn the rotary
regulator anti-clockwise until
it stops.
 Clean the brewing unit (see
section7.2 on page82).
9 Transport, storage and disposal
9.1 Venting the appliance
We recommend venting the appliance when it is not used for a long period,
prior to transport and when there is a risk of frost.
During venting, residual water is removed from the appliance.
