Replace the needle
Turn the handwheel towards you until the needle is in the highest position. Lower the presser foot and
undo the needle screw anti-clockwise. Remove the old needle and insert a new one with the flat side at
the back. The needle must be pressed in as far as possible. Tighten the needle screw with a
screwdriver.
NOTE. Check regularly that the needle is not bent or blunt. Skipped stitches or knots in embroidered
material or silk are often caused by damaged needles.
