Youcould lose controlofthe vehicle in the
following situations:

if youadjustthe driver's seat, thehead
restraint,the steering wheel or themirror
while thevehicle is in motion
R
if youfastenyour seat belt whilethe vehi‐
cle is in motion

Beforestarting theengine: adjustthe
driver's seat, thehead restraint,the
steering wheel or themirrorand fasten
your seat belt.

WARNING Risk of accident duetomis‐
judgment of distances when using the
outside mirror
The outside mirrors reflect objects on a
smaller scale. The objects in vieware in fact
closer than they appear.
As aresult, youmay misjudge thedistance
betweenyou and theroad user driving
behind you, e.g.when changing lanes.

Therefore, alwayslook over your shoul‐
der in order to ensurethat youare
awareofthe actual distance between
youand theroad usersdrivingbehind
you.

To fold in or out: briefly press button 1.

If thebatteryhas been disconnected or com‐
pletely discharged,the outside mirrors must
be reset. Onlythen will theautomatic mirror
folding function work properly.

To set: select therequired mirrorusing but‐
ton 3 or 4.
