Installing Outboard
We strongly recommend that your dealer install your outboard
and related accessories to ensure proper installation and good
performance. If you install the outboard yourself, follow the
instructions in the manual which is provided with the outboard.
NOTE: Most boats are rated and certified in terms of their
maximum horsepower limit, and this is shown on the boat's
certification plate. Do not equip your boat with an outboard that
exceeds this limit. If in doubt, contact your dealer. Do not operate
the engine until it has been securely mounted on the boat in
accordance with the instructions below.
1. One outboard: Position the outboard motor at the center of
the stern. Refer to General Information ‑ 25/30
