What Happened Why What To Do
Vacuum reading too high. Vacuum pump is turned off. Turn the vacuum pump on.
Vacuum tubing leak. Replace tubing if cracked.
Vacuum connection leak. Check connections and tighten
clamps.
Vacuum port is loose. Remove rear panel. Gently
tighten the port into the
internal manifold block.
Internal leak. Remove rear panel. Check all
ferrule connections. Tighten
connections if necessary.
Sample tube fitting is loose. Tighten the sample tube fitting.
Sample tube fitting O-ring is
damaged.
Check O-ring and replace if
necessary.
Sample tube is broken or
cracked.
Replace the sample tube.
One of the other sample tubes
has a loose fitting.
Close all valves to verify
proper operation of the
vacuum pump.
