3.5 INSTALLATION COMPLETION
Prior to operating the unit in the aircraft, verify the basic operation of the unit and conduct a
standard leak check of the pitot/static system per the aircraft maintenance manual or industry
practice.
Configuration information is stored on the configuration module, allowing easy replacement of the
MD302. Because of this, the configuration module must be installed prior to applying power and
configuring the unit (See Section 4.1.)
Within 10 seconds after power is applied, the STAT (status) light should illuminate solid green. This
indicates normal operation. If the STAT light indicates RED, there is an issue preventing normal
operation. See Section 5.1.3 for details regarding operation and troubleshooting.
