Setting the correct boiling point for water
Water at a high altitude above sea level will not reach the
boiling point for water at sea level. To adjust the appliance for
the altitude in your area, fill the water container with mains tap
water (see "Operation / Preparing the appliance for use") and
then run the appliance at 100 °C for 15 minutes. Proceed as
described in "Operation".
This procedure adjusts the appliance to the altitude in your
area and also flushes out the waterways.
Warning! A lot of steam will be emitted from the appliance.
If you move house, the appliance will need to be re-set for
the new altitude if this differs from the old one by more than
300 m. To do this, descale the appliance (see "Cleaning and
care / Descaling").
