Issue Cause and remedy
During operation an
unusually large amount
of steam escapes, or
steam escapes from
parts of the oven where
it does not usually.
The door is not properly closed.
Close the door.
The door seal is not correctly fitted.
Press it in all the way round the door to make sure
it is fitted evenly.
The door seal is damaged, e.g. cracks can be seen.
Replace the door seal.
This can be ordered from yor Miele dealer (see the
end of this booklet for contact details).
A whistling sound is
heard when the
appliance is switched
on again.
When the door is closed, the pressure has to
equalise, which can cause a whistling sound. This is
not a fault.
The Start at and Finish at
functions are not
available.
The temperature in the oven compartment is too
high, e.g. after a programme has finished.
Open the door and let the oven compartment
cool down.
These functions are not available with Descale.
F44 Communication fault
Switch the steam oven off and then back on again
after a few minutes.
If the same message appears again, call your
Miele dealer.
F and other fault codes Technical fault.
Switch the appliance off and contact your Miele
dealer.
