Water connection
Cold water connection
The washing machine must be
connected to a mains water supply in
accordance with current local and
national safety regulations.
The flow pressure must amount to a
minimum of 100kPa (1bar) and must
not exceed an overpressure of
1000kPa (10bar). If it is higher than
1000kPa, a pressure reduction valve
must be installed.
Connection to the mains water supply
should incorporate a water tap with a
¾" threaded union. If this is not
available, only a qualified plumber may
connect the washing machine to the
mains water supply.
The connection point is subject to
mains water pressure.
Turn on the tap slowly and check for
leaks. Correct the position of the
washer and union if necessary.
The inlet hose for cold water is not
intended to be used for a hot water
connection.
Switching to cold water operation
If the washing machine is not
connected to a hot water tap, you will
have to configure the settings Main
wash water, Pre-wash water and Rinse
water to cold (see “Supervisor level”).
Unscrew the hot water hose.
Screw on the stopper provided.
Maintenance
Only use a genuine Miele hose should
you ever need a replacement.
A filter is located in the open end of
the inlet hose and another in the
intake point to protect the inlet valve.
Neither filter may be removed.
Hose extension
Longer hoses with a length of 2.5 m or
4.0 m are available from Miele as
optional accessories (depending on
country).
