5) Put the ring around the sample.
6) Fill the internal part of the ring with MCC. Start from sample margins in order to fix them immediately.
7) Put the chuck centering the ring hole and then heat extractor and wait for the freezing time, Use the
screen timer to check to count the freezing time. 60 seconds for the 37mm ring and 40 seconds for
the 28mm ring. In the meantime, close the cover.
8) Open the unit and remove the heat extractor with the frozen block attached.
9) To detach the block from the ring it’s possible to use the ring extractor.
10) Choose the right base depending on the ring dimension. Put the ring on top of the extractor base.
