Overview

The Accutorr® 7/VS-900c Vital Signs Monitor is a medical device designed for monitoring physiological parameters in adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients within healthcare facilities. It provides continuous monitoring of SpO2, Pulse Rate, NIBP, and Temperature, with an optional CO2 monitoring feature available for the Accutorr 7 model. The device is intended for use by clinical physicians or appropriate medical staff under the direction of physicians.

Function Description:

The monitor serves as a central unit for acquiring, displaying, reviewing, storing, and printing patient physiological data. It incorporates audible and visual alarm indications to alert staff to patient or equipment problems. The system supports multiple input devices, including buttons, a knob, and a touchscreen, for user interaction. Program upgrades can be performed over a network connection.

The main unit of the vital signs monitor is composed of three primary parts:

  • Front housing assembly: This includes the main board, an optional Wi-Fi module (for Accutorr 7), keypad board assembly (with the knob), display, touchscreen, and alarm lamp board.
  • Rear housing assembly: This contains the power module (AC/DC), power management and interface board (which includes SpO2 isolation power), recorder, speaker, battery, NIBP module, and SpO2 board.
  • External module: This refers to the Temperature module.

The main board acts as the control center, facilitating communication with various modules (SpO2 board, NIBP module, Temperature module, power management board, keypad board, recorder), driving the display and backlight, providing USB and network connectors, and supporting SD card and optional Wi-Fi module functionality.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Monitored Parameters: SpO2, Pulse Rate, NIBP, Temperature (SmarTemp™ or Exergen TemporalScanner™), and optional CO2 (Accutorr 7 only).
