■ Operating environment
Only use this product in the following environments.
y Areas free of dirt and dust
y Areas free of vibrations
y Areas in the recommended temperature of 20 °C or so with minimal tempera-
ture change
IMPORTANT
When using this product, be sure to perform su󰀩cient thermal stabilization.
y On the surface plate (recommended)
Avoid using the product in the following environments.
y Areas directly subject to drafts of hot air, cool air, or air conditioning
■ Maintenance
After use, wipe dirt o󰀨 the product with a soft cloth soaked in solvent, etc., and
then apply anti-rust oil in a thin layer (for rust prevention). Do not use organic
solvents such as thinner or benzine.
Tips
• For Gauge Blocks made of ceramics (CERA Blocks), rustproong treatment is not
necessary.
• Recommended solvent: Normal heptane
• Recommended anti-rust oil: MOLYKOTE SUPERGLISS (Dow Corning Toray Co.,
Ltd.)
