Bypassing the Windows Password Prompt when Waking
We have noticed that even when we set the password to not prompt when the system awakes from sleep, it still
asks for a password. This causes users extra time to put in a password.
To Bypass the Windows Password Prompt
1. Tap Settings, tap Control Panel, then tap Display.
2. Tap the Adjust brightness, then tap Require a password on wakeup on the left.
3. Select Don’t require a password under Password protection on wakeup.
Charging the Battery Using the AC Power
Your tablet is shipped with an AC adapter to charge your tablet from any standard AC power outlet. Note: The
battery is not fully charged when shipped.
To Charge the Battery
1. Plug the AC adapter into a standard AC power outlet.
2. Connect one end of the USB cable to the AC adapter and the other end to the microUSB 2.0 connector on the
tablet.
3. Disconnect the AC adapter from your tablet when the battery power is full, or leave the AC adapter connected
to operate from AC power.
Alternatively, you can use any of these charging methods to safely recharge the internal battery of the tablet. Use
only MobileDemand-approved adapters. Unauthorized adapters could cause severe damage to your tablet.

When you are traveling outdoors with your tablet and AC power is not available, you can extend the battery life by
doing any of the following:
Turn Off the Wi-Fi, Mobile Data Network, or Bluetooth When Not in Use
1. Swipe in from the right to display the Windows Charms bar.
2. Tap Settings, then tap Change PC settings.
3. Tap Bluetooth, then tap the bar to the Off position.
Turn Off the Wi-Fi or Bluetooth When Not in Use
1. Swipe in from the right to display the Windows Charms bar.
2. Tap Settings, tap Network, then tap Airplane mode.
3. Tap the applicable bars to turn off the devices.
Turn Off Automatic Synchronization – must have Microsoft account
1. Swipe in from the right to display the Windows Charms bar.
2. Tap Settings, tap SkyDrive, then tap Sync settings.
