the top as it is raised. Hold the rocker switch in the up position until the popup top has been raised. The
lift motors will automatically stop when the top is completely up or down.
To lower the popup top, first go outside and look around the RV to ensure that no objects or body parts
can interfere with the lift mechanism or would be in the travel path of the top as it is lowered. Inside the
RV, make sure that the upstairs bed is flat (no panels or cushions are stacked) and any bedding or cargo
is lower than the ceiling in its lowest position. Hold the rocker switch in the down position until the
popup top is completely lowered and the lift motors have stopped. Optionally, secure the hook-and-
loop straps at the front.
The beds consist of rails, panels, cushions, and cushion covers. The covers are zippered and removeable
so that they can be washed or replaced as necessary. The cushions contain memory foam on one side
and a more standard foam on the other. You may sleep on whichever side feels most comfortable.
The upstairs bed is 6.5’ x 4’ and is made up of two 4’ x 2’ panels and cushions plus one 4’ x 2.5’ panel
and cushion. The panels friction fit on the rails installed on the sides of the popup top openings. The
cushions sit on the panels and friction fit on the sides. One of the 4’ x 2’ panels has a pair of holes along
the edge near one corner, for attachment of the ladder. This panel should be closest to the front of the
van, with the holes positioned above the stove.
The downstairs bed is 6’x4’ and is made up of three 4’x2’ panels and cushions. To use the downstairs
bed, the front and back rails must be installed. To install them, position the front and back rails across
the RV, over the side rails that are permanently mounted on the sides of the RV, over the storage
cabinets. When you have them positioned correctly, all the rails together form a frame that is
approximately 4’x6’. There are holes in each corner of the frame that accept bolts to hold the frame
together. The panels friction fit on the rails. The cushions sit on the panels and friction fit on the rails as
well.
Propane System
The propane tank is outside under the RV floor on the driver’s side and holds enough fuel to run the
stove and furnace for 2 or more weeks. Some truck/RV stops such as Flying J sell propane (and also
have RV dump stations), and many U-Haul locations and some gas stations sell propane. Propane fill
services are also available at propane suppliers. Propane is generally “full service” and the station
attendants generally know the proper procedure for filling the propane tank. To allow room for
expansion due to heat, the propane tank should never be filled more than 80%. This is a standard
requirement and the propane station attendant will know how to properly fill your tank. If the stove
won’t light after a fill-up, check the manual cut off valve on the propane tank to ensure that it is open.
