3. Ensure that the outside weather is not windy. Windy conditions can damage the awning and/or
the van.
4. Turn on the awning system (front-most switch).
5. Press the “extend” switch. To stop the awning before it is fully extended, press the “extend”
switch again.
To retract the awning:
1. Ensure that the retraction path is clear and there are no obstructions.
2. Press the “retract” switch. To stop the awning before it is fully retracted, press the “retract”
switch again.
3. Turn off the awning system (front-most switch) so that the awning cannot be extended
accidentally.
If the awning detects excessive wind, it will retract automatically. However, it may not succeed in time
to prevent damage. Retract the awning manually if wind comes up. Do not leave the van unattended
while the awning is extended.
There are LED lights along the end of the awning. They are controlled by the rear-most switch. They can
be used with the awning in any position.
Power Running Boards (Optional)
The power running boards operate automatically, extending when the corresponding door is opened
and retracting when it is closed. If you need to override them and keep them from extending, unplug
their connector from the OBD-II Diagnostic Port in the driver’s side footwell.
Troubleshooting
House Battery Usage
The standard 85Ah house battery is designed to last about 1 day without having to be charged. If the
house battery doesn’t last as long as you would like, consider the following battery conservation
techniques:
Minimize the use of the 120V inverter and make sure that the inverter is off when not in use
If the fridge is not being used, leave it off. When the fridge is in use, set its thermostat to the
middle of the range and try to keep it as full as possible (air is more difficult to keep cold and
leaks out when the fridge door is opened).
Turn the furnace off or use the ECO setting
Turn the hot water heater off
Turn the LP Gas switch off when the furnace and stove are not in use (the solenoid value uses
battery power when the switch is on)
