1. Fold the middle seat as much as possible
2. Place the middle seat into position. Align the mechanisms at the bottom back of the seat
3. Under the seat bottom, fold out the support
4. Lower and latch the seat bottom
5. Lean the seatback backwards to latch the seatback to the driver side captain’s chair
To remove either captain’s chair:
1. Use the seatback position lever to lean the seatback all the way forward
2. The seat bottom lifts up and reveals the seat latch handle
3. Use the seat latch handle to detach the seat from the seat mounting plate
4. Have an assistant help you lift the seat away from the seat mounting plate
5. The seat mounting plate can be removed by unbolting 4 large bolts
6. Insert black plastic caps into seat mounting plate floor holes
To install either captain’s chair:
1. If necessary, separate the captain’s chair from the seat mounting plate
2. Use the mounting plate to locate the seat mounting plate floor holes
3. Remove the black plastic caps from the seat mounting plate floor holes
4. Use the 4 seat plate attachment bolts to bolt the seat mounting plate into the mounting plate
floor holes
5. Have an assistant help you lift the seat into position over the seat mounting plates
6. Align the rear seat latches with the seat latch attachment channels and pins on the seat
mounting plate and lower the rear of the seat. Gravity should cause the rear seat latches to
engage.
7. Lean the seat forward to engage the front seat latches
8. Sit on the seat and rock backwards and forwards to ensure that all 4 seat latches are properly
engaged
Front Row Swivel Seats
The ModVans CV1 comes standard with a passenger side swivel seat. Some CV1 customers opt to add a
driver side swivel as well. To operate swivel seats vans with manually operated seats, slide the seat
forward, tilt the seatback forward, move the swivel handle toward the middle of the van, and swivel the
seat toward the middle of the van. On the driver side, if the steering wheel gets in the way while the
seat is being swiveled, simply adjust the seat backward until there is enough room to swivel completely.
For powered seats, seats must also be raised as high as possible before swiveling.
Cabinets
The ModVans CV1 comes with three interior cabinets: the galley cabinet, containing the propane stove
and sink; the driver’s side storage cabinet, containing the fresh water tank; and the passenger’s side
storage cabinet, containing the refrigerator. All three cabinets can be removed.
To remove the galley cabinet, first detach the gas line and power from underneath the stove, and the
water lines and drain line from underneath the sink. Then remove the four silver-colored bolts attaching
the wooden frame of the cabinet to the floor. Have an assistant help you lift and remove the cabinet.
