18 ModVans CV1 Owner’s Manual V1.1
The hot water heater can be set to 3 different modes: ECO (104F), HOT (140F) and BOOST (prioritize
water heat over furnace heat). To set the water temperature:
1. Rotate the knob to select the water temperature icon (the icon to the right of the flame icon)
2. Tap the knob to enter water temperature selection mode
3. Rotate the knob to the desired water temperature mode
4. Tap the knob to set the water temperature mode
Exterior Shower (Optional)
To use the exterior shower, there must be fresh water in the tank, and the water pump must be turned
on (see Fresh Water System, above). To get hot water from the shower, the LP Gas and water heater
must be turned on (see Water Heater, above). Turn on the shower faucet using the knobs mounted on
either side of where the shower hose plugs in. The upper knob is the cold water and the lower knob is
the hot water.
Once the faucet is on, squeeze the trigger on the shower head to get water. Rotate the shower head to
change the stream type. When finished, turn off both shower faucet knobs, then squeeze the trigger to
relieve the pressure in the shower hose.
The shower hose can be disconnected by turning the fitting where it attaches to the faucet.
For privacy, a curtain is attached to the rear door. Open both rear doors until they latch 90° open.
Unscrew the knob in the center of the curtain attachment until the curtain cord moves freely. Extend
the curtain cord across and attach it to the fitting on the other door.
Cell Phone Booster (Optional)
To use the cell phone booster:
1. Make sure its antenna is in a vertical position. See instructions below if you need to raise it.
2. Turn the cell phone booster on at the Control Panel.
3. Position the inside antenna between 18” and 36” away from the cellular device. The inside
antenna is initially mounted on the wall panel just behind the driver’s seat. It has a long cable
and can be moved where needed.
Turn the cell phone booster off when not in use to conserve power.
To raise or lower the antenna, you will need a pair of 3/8” wrenches or sockets. Climb a ladder to reach
the antenna, which is on the roof above the driver’s seat. Use the wrenches or sockets to loosen the
two bolts holding the antenna arm into the base. You should not remove the bolts entirely, just loosen
them. Raise or lower the antenna as desired, and then retighten the bolts.
Awning (Optional)
The awning is controlled by switches mounted in the ceiling panel above the passenger side sliding door.
Consult the awning owner’s manual for detailed instructions.
To extend the awning:
1. Ensure that the van is level, particularly from side to side. Damage can result if the van is tilted.
2. Ensure that the space into which the awning will extend is clear and there are no obstructions.
