Why is my component not receiving power from my Monster Power Surge Protector?

  If a component isn't receiving power when plugged into your Monster Power Surge Protector PowerCenter HTS 2000 MKII, ensure that the PowerCenter is turned on. You might also try plugging the component into an unswitched outlet. If the component is plugged into a switched outlet, make sure the component's power is also turned on; it may not receive power from the PowerCenter otherwise.

  If your speakers are emitting a humming or buzzing noise when connected to the Monster Power Surge Protector PowerCenter HTS 2000 MKII, it could be due to the PowerCenter sharing AC power with improperly grounded equipment. Try connecting your PowerCenter to a dedicated outlet. You can also try unplugging components one by one to identify the source. If a component is improperly grounded, attach a copper wire from its chassis to the PowerCenter’s grounding post.

  First, ensure that your Monster Power Surge Protector PowerCenter HTS 2000 MKII is turned on and properly connected to a grounded 120V wall outlet. In some cases, a wall switch near the outlet may need to be activated. If the unit is overloaded, the Thermal Circuit Breaker may have tripped. Press the Thermal Circuit Breaker button to reset it, waiting 10 minutes before attempting again. If it continues to trip, redistribute some components to another power source, as you might be drawing too much current.
