How to fix a Motorola Set-top box that won't turn on?

If your Motorola DCH receiver isn't powering on, here are a few things to try: 1. Give it a few minutes and try again. 2. Ensure the AC power cord is securely connected to both the receiver and a working AC outlet. 3. Unplug the receiver, plug it back in, and then press the POWER button on the front panel. If it's connected to a switched outlet on another device, make sure that device is powered on. 4. Try using an unswitched outlet if possible. 5. Press the POWER button on the receiver itself, not just the remote. The remote's batteries might be dead.
