8d1SnP - 8 data bits; 1 stop bit, no parity control
8d2SnP - 8 data bits; 2 stop bits, no parity control
8d1SEP - 8 data bits; 1 stop bit, EVEN parity control
8d1SoP - 8 data bits; 1 stop bit, ODD parity control
