Introduction – What is DoloBravo ?
DoloBravo is a digital electrical nerve-stimulator, which is made for pain relief. This small
battery operated unit provides a non-invasive, drug free method of controlling acute and
principally long term intractable pain. It can also be used as an adjunctive treatment in the
management of post surgical traumatic pain problems.
DoloBravo has been developed according to latest ndings by MTR+ in consultation with
medical professionals and patients. This device is a modern 2-channel stimulator, which enables
2 pairs of electrodes (= 4 electrodes) to work simultaneously. If necessary, you can use vaginal-
or rectal-probes as well. DoloBravo is specially designed for highly efcient pain therapy
(TENS) and can be used without any assistance. The mild electrical impulses are transmuted
through the skin via surface electrodes to modify the body’s pain perception.
DoloBravo contains 12 xed programmes in three different modes.
The continuous mode blocks pain transfer very well.
The modulating mode blocks pain transfer and in addition delays the bodily habituation
process to the electrical stimulation.
The burst mode is responsible for the increased release of body-own endorphins.
The Dense-Disperse-Stimulation, developed by Prof. Han, is a special kind of continuous
mode. It includes a continuous change between 100 Hz and 2 Hz. This way, different analgesic
effects can be achieved simultaneously.
DoloBravo does not only contain each mode several times in its pure form, but possesses also
multi-phase programs, in which different modes alternate automatically. Therefore it is possible
to achieve all of the above specied therapy goals with one single program. Additionally the
three freely congurable programs enable the specialist to compile specially tailored programs
for their own individual purpose. This characteristic of the DoloBravo offers each physician
or physiotherapist, and also the experienced patient, the possibility of a focused coordinated
treatment for the respective state of health. As these programs, after storing, can be changed at
any time, for example to be altered according to the progress of therapy, an almost unrestricted
variation range is available with this device to the user.
The small size of this neat but powerful unit makes transport easier. DoloBravo ts into any bag
and can be used in holiday as well as at home.
The clip on the back of the unit allows to fasten the device at the clothes but the unit is intended
to be supported by hand during normal use. The belt clip is for temporary relief only.
