Advice on Application of Electrodes
Make sure that DoloBravo is turned off (no indication visible on the LCD display).
Now connect the single poled ends of the lead wires with the electrodes.
The output plugs of the electrode cables will be plugged into the channels A or B of the
DoloBravo.
Furthermore make sure, that all plugs t completely into the electrode sockets as well as the
device sockets.
If you are using a probe, lubricate it with water or a gel suitable for electrotherapy.
Please don’t use any oil, ointment or cream, since all these have an isolating effect.
Now place the electrodes or the probe according to the instructions of your doctor or physio-
therapist.
In the case of the skin gel loosing its adhesion, you can’t achieve more than 6 mA - please
replace the electrodes. The same effect, however, also occurs when using a damaged cable.
Therefore, if the normal treatment is not possible by using new electrodes, the cable may be
faulty.
If you use a probe, please clean it after use carefully with normal detergent and dry it
completely.
Electrodes/probes which were damaged due to an improper handling may not
be used any more.
Electrodes/probes with a damaged cable isolation (e.g. visible copper wire may
not be used any more).
Electrodes with damaged, missing or stained aluminium coating or carbon layer, also with in-
sufcient adhesive gel may not be used.
Electrodes/probes may not be changed (e.g. by means of scissors or other tools).
Do not pull the electrodes/probes by force on the electrode cable.
Apply the electrodes on clean and healthy skin only.
In the case of strong bodily hair growth, the hair should be shortened with scissors.
Neither stretch the skin nor the electrodes when applying the electrodes.
To remove the electrodes from the skin, please lift the electrodes at the rim towards the middle.
Effective current densities of more than 2 mA/cm
2
require an increased attention of the user
with regard to the intensity adjustment.
If you use self-adhesive electrodes, we recommend the use of our self-adhesive electrodes with
an area of 40x40 mm.
In case of pelvic oor treatment we recommend the use of our vaginal- or rectal-probes. If you
should use a probe, please clean it carefully before and after use and dry it completely.
