Preconditions
☑ Engine shut down and starting disabled.

Checking engine control unit plug
connections
1. Use connector pliers (3) to make certain
that all plug connections on engine control
unit are securely seated.
2. Tighten loose bayonet union nuts (2) with
connector pliers (3) by turning them clock‐
wise until they latch into place.
3. Make sure that unassigned sockets are
closed off with cover caps.
4. If bayonet union nuts are defective, contact
Service.
