What to do if burners will not cross light each other on my Napoleon Grill?
    • N
      newtonchristopherSep 10, 2025
If the burners on your Napoleon Grill will not cross light each other, it is likely due to plugged ports at the back of the burner. Clean the burner ports.

Why does my Napoleon Grill have yellow flames and smell of gas?
    • D
      David MillsSep 12, 2025
If your Napoleon Grill burners burn with a yellow flame and there is a smell of gas, it is possibly due to a spider web or other debris, or improper air shutter adjustment. Thoroughly clean the burner by removing it. Opening the air shutter slightly should be done by a qualified gas installer.

Why is 'paint' peeling inside the lid of my Napoleon L485?
    • J
      Justin RhodesSep 14, 2025
The peeling inside the lid or hood of your Napoleon Grill is not a defect. The finish on the lid and hood is porcelain and will not peel. The peeling is caused by hardened grease, which dries into paint-like shards that flake off. Regular cleaning will prevent this.

What causes flames to lift away from burner on my Napoleon Grill?
    • S
      Sandra HillSep 16, 2025
Flames lifting away from the burner, accompanied by the smell of gas, and possibly difficulties in lighting on your Napoleon Grill, are caused by improper air shutter adjustment. Closing the air shutter slightly should be done according to combustion air adjustment instructions, and this must be done by a qualified gas installer.
