Why is the Napoleon Gas grill not getting hot enough?
- RRenee MillerAug 19, 2025
If your Napoleon Gas grill has low heat or a low flame even when the valve is turned to high, the cause may be an improper lighting procedure (for propane), an undersized supply line (for natural gas), or improper preheating (for both gases). To resolve this, ensure the lighting procedure is followed carefully: all gas grill valves must be in the off position when the tank valve is turned on, and the tank should be turned on slowly to allow pressure to equalize. Also, make sure the pipe is sized according to the installation code. Preheat the grill with both main burners on high for 10 to 15 minutes.
