Why is "paint" peeling inside the lid of my Napoleon Grill?
    • S
      Sandy MitchellSep 12, 2025
If it appears that "paint" is peeling inside the lid or hood of your Napoleon Grill, don't worry, this is not a defect. The finish on the lid and hood is stainless steel, and will not peel. The peeling is caused by hardened grease, which dries into paint-like shards, that will flake off. Regular cleaning will prevent this.

    • D
      Diane MorrisAug 23, 2025
Excessive flare-ups in your Napoleon Grill can occur due to several reasons: * Sear plates might be installed incorrectly. Ensure they are installed with the holes towards the front and the slots on the bottom. * Improper preheating: Always preheat the grill with both main burners on high for 10 to 15 minutes. * Excessive grease and ash build-up on sear plates and in the drip pan. Clean these components regularly, and avoid lining the pan with aluminum foil.

    • J
      John CastilloAug 25, 2025
If your Napoleon Grill has low heat or a low flame when the valve is turned to high, here’s what might be happening: * For propane grills, the lighting procedure might not have been followed correctly. Ensure all gas grill valves are off when the tank valve is turned on, and turn the tank on slowly to allow pressure to equalize. Refer to the lighting instructions. * For natural gas grills, the supply line might be undersized. The pipe must be sized according to the installation code. * For both propane and natural gas grills, improper preheating could be the issue. Preheat the grill with both main burners on high for 10 to 15 minutes.
