EŽƚĞ Stainless steel tends to odžidize or stain in the presence of chlorides and sulĮdes, parƟcularly in
coastal areas and other harsh enǀironments, such as the warm, highly humid atmosphere around pools
and hot tubs. dhese stains could be perceiǀed as rust, but can be easily remoǀed or preǀented. do proǀide
stain preǀenƟon and remoǀal, wash all stainless steel surfaces eǀery 3-4 weeŬs or as oŌen as required with
fresh water andor stainless steel cleaner.
'ƌŝĚƐŶĚtĂƌŵŝŶŐZĂĐŬ dhe grids and warming racŬ are best cleaned with a brass wire brush during
the pre-heaƟng period. Steel wool can be used for stubborn stains. It is normal that stainless grids ;if
equippedͿ will discolor permanently from regular usage due to the high temperature of the cooŬing
surface.
ŽŶƚƌŽůWĂŶĞů dhe control panel tedžt is printed directly on the stainless steel and with proper
maintenance will remain darŬ and legible. do clean the panel, use only warm soapy water or stainless steel
cleaner aǀailable from your Napoleon dealer. Neǀer apply abrasiǀe cleaners on any stainless surfaces,
especially the printed porƟon of the control panel or the prinƟng will gradually rub oī.
ůĞĂŶŝŶŐ/ŶƐŝĚĞdŚĞ'ĂƐ'ƌŝůů Remoǀe the cooŬing grids. hse a brass wire brush to clean loose debris from
the casƟng sides and underneath the lid. Scrape the sear plates with a puƩy Ŭnife or scraper, and use a
wire brush to remoǀe the ash. Remoǀe the sear plates and brush debris from the burners with the brass
wire brush. Sweep all debris from inside the gas grill into the drip pan.
ůĞĂŶŝŶŐdŚĞKƵƚĞƌ'ƌŝůů^ƵƌĨĂĐĞDo not use abrasiǀe cleaners or steel wool on any painted, porcelain or
stain
less steel parts of your Napoleon Grill. Doing so will scratch the Įnish. Edžterior grill surfaces should be
cleaned with warm soapy water while the metal is sƟll warm to the touch. do clean stainless surfaces, use
a stainless steel or a non-abrasiǀe cleaner. Always wipe in the direcƟon of the grain. Oǀer Ɵme, stainless
steel parts discolor when heated, usually to a golden or brown hue. dhis discoloraƟon is normal and does
not aīect the performance of the grill. Porcelain enamel components must be handled with addiƟonal
care. dhe baŬed-on enamel Įnish is glass-liŬe, and will chip if strucŬ. douch-up enamel is aǀailable from
your Napoleon Grill dealer.
>ŝŐŚƚƐ dhe lens face can be cleaned with warm soapy water and a soŌ, clean rag. &or stubborn stains, a
small amount of degreaser may be used. Do not use abrasiǀe cleaners as this may scratch or damage the
lens.
WARNING!ĐĐƵŵƵůĂƚĞĚŐƌĞĂƐĞŝƐĂĮƌĞŚĂnjĂƌĚ
ƌŝƉWĂŶ Clean the drip pan frequently ;eǀery 4 – 5 uses or as oŌen as requiredͿ to aǀoid grease buildup.
Grease and edžcess drippings pass through to the drip pan, located beneath the gas grill and accumulate
in the disposable grease tray below the drip pan. do access the disposable grease tray or to clean the
drip pan, slide the drip pan free of the grill. Neǀer line the drip pan with aluminum foil, sand or any other
material as this could preǀent the grease from Ňowing properly. dhe pan should be scraped out with a
puƩy Ŭnife or scraper. Replace the disposable grease tray eǀery 2 – 4 weeŬs, depending on gas grill usage.
