      If the incline assembly sticks or is difficult to adjust on your Nautilus Elliptical Trainer, adjust the levelers to raise the front of the rail assembly until there is 0.6 cm - 1.25 cm (1/4 in - 1/2 in) space between the top of the incline assembly and the main unit shroud.

      If the telemetric heart rate is not displayed on your Nautilus Elliptical Trainer, ensure the strap is 'POLAR®' compatible and uncoded. Make sure the strap is directly against the skin and the contact area is wet. If the strap has replaceable batteries, install new batteries. Select the EDIT USER PROFILE option for the user profile. Go to the WIRELESS HR setting and make sure that the current value is set to ON. Try moving the unit away from sources of interference such as a TV or microwave. If the interference is eliminated and the heart rate still does not function, replace the strap. If the heart rate still does not function, replace the console.

Make sure your hands are centered on the HR sensors, kept still, and applying relatively equal pressure to each side. A conductive electrode cream can help improve contact. If these steps don't work, the static handlebar should be replaced.
