WARRANTY
REQUIREDMAINTENANCE
Asthevehicleowner,youareresponsibleforallrequired
maintenancedescribedinthismanual.Navistarrecommends
thatyouretainallreceiptscoveringmaintenanceonyourtruck,
butNavistarcannotdenywarrantysolelyforthelackofreceipts
oryourfailuretoensuretheperformanceofallscheduled
maintenance.However,aclaimmaybedeniedifNavistar
demonstratesthatthe(engine/vehicle)hasbeenabused,
neglected,orimproperlymaintained,andthatsuchabuse,
neglect,orimpropermaintenancewasthedirectcauseofthe
needfortherepairorreplacementofthepart.Takeyourvehicle
toanauthorizedserviceproviderwhenaproblemoccurs.
WARRANTYREPAIRSANDSERVICE
Allemissioncontrolsystempartsprovendefective,orthatfail
tomeettherequirementsintheCaliforniaCodeofRegulations,
Title13,Sections2700to2706,and2710duringnormal
usewillberepairedorreplacedduringthewarrantyperiod.
Warrantyrepairsandservicewillbedonebyanauthorized
serviceproviderwithnochargeforparts,labor,anddiagnostics.
Warrantyrepairsshouldbecompletedinareasonabletime,
nottoexceed30days.Navistar,Inc.maydenyyouwarranty
coverageifyourvehicleoraparthasfailedduetoabuse,
neglect,impropermaintenance,orunapprovedmodications.

parts
arerecommendedformaintenanceorrepairstomaintainthe
originalqualityofyouremissioncertiedengine.Ifpartsnot
recommendedbyNavistarcausedamagetotheengineor
vehicle,thewarrantyisinvalidandmaintenanceandrepair
costswillnotbecovered.
EMERGENCYREPAIRS
Emergencyrepairsarerecognized,ifpartsarenotavailable
within30daysorrepairsarenotcompletedwithin30days.
Ifanauthorizedserviceproviderisnotreasonablyavailable,
thevehicleowneroranyserviceestablishmentcaninstall
replacementpart.
Navistarwillreimburseyouforemergencyrepairs(including
diagnostics)forthefollowing:
•Replacementpartsthatdonotexceedmanufacturer's
suggestedretailprice.
•Laborchargesbasedonmanufacturer'srecommended
timeallowanceandgeographichourlyrate.
Replacedpartsandpaidinvoicesmustbegiventoa
Internationaldealerforreimbursementofemergencyrepairs.
