1.Setparkingbrakeandshifttransmissiontoparkorneutral.
WARNING
Topreventpersonalinjuryordeath,makesure
thattheenginehascooledbeforeremoving
components.
2.TurnignitionswitchtoOFFandallowenginetocoolbefore
removingcomponents.
WARNING
Topreventpersonalinjuryordeath,wearsafety
glasseswithsideshields.Limitcompressedair
pressureto207kPa(30psi).
CAUTION
Topreventenginedamage,cleanareaaroundfuel
lterhousingbeforeremovingfuelltercover.
Thiswillprotecttheopenfuellterhousing
fromcontaminantsfallingintothehousing.If
contaminantsdofallin,removethemandblow
outfuellterhousingwithcompressedairbefore
installinganewlterelement.Contaminants
reachinghigh-pressurefuelsystemcomponents
maycausecomponentfailure.
3.Cleanenginecompartmentcomponentsintheareaofthe
fuellterhousingusingcompressedair,beforeremoving
thefuelltercover.Also,wipethefuelltercoverclean
topreventcontaminantsfromenteringthefuelsystem.
Contaminantsmaycauseenginefailure.
4.Usinga23mmwrench,loosenthefuelltercover
counterclockwisethreeandone-halfturnstoexposethe
ventholebelowO-ring.
5.Ifnecessary,attachahosetotheendofthewaterdrain
valve.
6.Putasuitablecontainerunderthewaterdrainvalve.
7.Openwaterdrainvalveanddrainthefuellterassembly.
8.Closewaterdrainvalve.
9.Recycleordisposeoffuelaccordingtoapplicable
regulations.
