The extended BIOS routines allow the assembly language
programmer
to
perform
high speed
block
level
I/O
operations
to
the console
through
the
DMA.
Five
different
operations
may
be
performed
through
this function. They are identified
by
the
command
number
passed in the display request block. The extended function
commands
are listed in Table 6-8
and
described
in
detail in this section.
