The
PC-8201
can
transmit
graphic
characters
if
the
word
length
is
8
bit
(in
the
same
manner
where
7
bit
length
or
SI/SO
sequence
is
used).
However,
even
if
the
data
transmission
unit
on
the
other
is
not
equipped
to
accept
graphics,
it
will
be
displayed
on
t
e
screen
of
the
PC-8201
just
as
if
they
were
being
normally
transmit
e
.
With
graphics
characters
in
particular,
a
variety
of
figures
can
be
displayed
by
using
the
proper
device.

are
also
situations
when
a
graphics
character
could
be
used
as
a
function
code,

attention
to
the
type
of
character
set
used

communication
equipment
at
the
receiving
end.

the
PC-8201
is
used
as
a
terminal
with
mainframe
(large
computers),
there
are
instances
using
the
cursor
movement
keys

revise
the
input.
