5 - SERVICING AND MAINTENANCE OF YOUR PLIMOA
5.1 Servicing:
In order to preserve your bike, maintain it regularly:
- Change the brake pads when they are damaged.
- Clean regularly your bike with water and soap.
- Neither use detergent or gasoline nor high pressure squirt.
- Clean and grease the bearing every 6 months.
5.2 Lubrification:
Lubricate lightly and regularly (once a month):
- Chain
- brake cables
- The axes of the brake systems
5.3 Maintenance:
Just like any mechanical device, a bicycle will deteriorate under heavy loads, and will wear down.
Different materials and components may react differently to wear and ageing.
If a component has passed its service life, it may fail at any time, which risks causing injury to the cyclist.
Cracks, scratches and discoloration in areas subject to high stresses indicate that a component is past its
recommended service life and must be replaced.
ENSURE THAT THE SIGNALLING COMPONENTS (E.G: LIGHTS, ETC.) ARE IN GOOD WORKING
CONDITION, AND CLEAN THEM IF NECESSARY WITH A DRY CLOTH.
