For proper operation, the unit needs to pull substantial amounts of air
through a finned condenser. A build up of dust or debris on the fins of the
condenser will lead to a loss of cooling capacity.
The frequency of cleaning depends on the operating environment. It is
recommended that a visual inspection of the condenser be made monthly
after initial installation. After several months, the frequency of cleaning will
be established.
Periodic vacuuming of the fins on the condenser is necessary.

Algae
To restrict the growth of algae in the fluid reservoir, it is recommended that
the reservoir cover be kept in place and that all recirculation lines be opaque.
This will eliminate the entrance of light which is required for the growth of
most common algae.
NESLAB recommends the use of Chloramine-T, one gram per gallon.
