• Removed support for the FAS2050 platform on Data ONTAP 8.x because it is
not supported on any 8.x releases.
• Updated the ACP firmware verification procedure to include steps for
updating out-of-date ACP firmware.
• Specified that DS4243 disk shelves that are part of new storage systems must
be running Data ONTAP 7.3.3P2 or a later version of the 7.x release family,
or Data ONTAP 8.0P1 or a later release in the 8.x release family.
Hot-added disk shelves on existing storage systems require Data ONTAP
7.3.2 or a later version of the 7.x release family, or Data ONTAP 8.0 or a later
release in the 8.x release family.
• SAS and ACP cabling information and procedures moved to the SAS and
ACP Cabling Guide for DS4243, DS2246, DS4486, and DS4246 Disk
Shelves .
• Cluster-Mode commands were included for applicable procedures.
• Photos of the PSUs were updated; they now show the correct LED label on
the back of the PSUs.
• The PSU LED OK icon was corrected; it is now a check mark.
• Specified the use of only IOM3 modules in DS4243 disk shelves.
• The term active/active was updated to HA pair throughout.
• The term multipath was updated to multipath HA .
