To change the media server settings or rescan media files:
1. Launch a web browser from a computer or mobile device that is connected to the
router network.
2. Enter http://www.routerlogin.net.
A login window displays.
3. Enter the router admin user name and password.
The user name is admin. The password is the one that you specified when you set
up your router. The user name and password are case-sensitive.
The BASIC Home page displays.
4. Select ADVANCED > USB Functions > Media Server.
The Media Server (Settings) page displays.
5. To enable or disable the media server, select or clear the Enable DNLA Media
Server check box.
By default, the media server is enabled, allowing the router to function as a DNLA
media server.
6. To rescan media files immediately, click the Rescan media files button.
The router automatically scans for media files whenever new files are added to your
ReadySHARE USB storage device. Only a shared folder for which the read access
settings are All – no password can be scanned for media files.
7. Click the Apply button.
Your settings are saved.
8. To change the name of the media server, click the Edit button.
The Device Name page displays. The device name is the router’s default device
name, which is based on its model number. This device name displays in the file
manager when you browse your network.
Do the following:
a. Type a new name in the Device Name field.
b. Click the Apply button.
Your changes are saved.
